What you get
A full-height steam tent with a 1,200 W steamer, a 3-litre tank and a built-in infrared light panel. At six feet tall it is one of the few portable saunas you can sit upright in with room to spare, and it comes with everything you need, including a folding chair and an aroma cup.
It takes about 5 minutes to set up and fits 1 person, sitting upright. Six feet tall: room to sit up straight, and big 3-litre tank, no mid-session top-ups. On the downside: takes more floor space than a pop-up.
The heat
A steam tent pumps steam from a separate generator into an insulated tent. The air usually sits at around 45 to 50°C, but because it is humid it feels much hotter than that, and most people are sweating within ten minutes. Open a window or run a fan afterwards to clear the moisture.
Running costs
The AuraCore 6FT Pro is rated at 1,200 W. Running at full power for 30 minutes uses 0.60 kWh, which is 16p a session at 26.32p per kWh (Ofgem price cap, Oct to Dec 2026), or about £25 a year at three sessions a week. It will usually cost less, because the heater cycles on and off once it is hot. Work out your own cost.
