What you get
A pop-up steam tent that springs open in about two minutes and folds into a flat round bag. It has a 1,000 W steamer, a near-infrared light panel and 8 mm insulated walls, and it comes with a folding chair, remote, aroma cup and washable floor mat.
It takes about 2 minutes to set up and fits 1 person, sitting upright. Up in about two minutes, and near-infrared light panel included. On the downside: less headroom than the 6FT Pro.
The heat
A steam tent pumps steam from a separate generator into an insulated tent. The air usually sits at around 45 to 50°C, but because it is humid it feels much hotter than that, and most people are sweating within ten minutes. Open a window or run a fan afterwards to clear the moisture.
Running costs
The AuraCore Pro Pop-Up is rated at 1,000 W. Running at full power for 30 minutes uses 0.50 kWh, which is 13p a session at 26.32p per kWh (Ofgem price cap, Oct to Dec 2026), or about £20 a year at three sessions a week. It will usually cost less, because the heater cycles on and off once it is hot. Work out your own cost.
